My wheelchair experience was very interesting and not at all what I expected. I went through a lot of difficulties, more than I had imagined. But it taught me a lot about design and how to for now on always be sure to make sure ADA is always included in a design.
In this picture the counter height is perfect for me to pick up my coffee but where i had ordered my coffee it was extremely high and I could barley see over the counter.
In this picture there was actually a sidewalk that was closed down because it was being reconstructed and there for my only choice was to go upstairs which I obviously couldn't do.
In this picture Marit is helping my push my self up the hill because I wasn't strong enough to do it on my own, which made me respect the strenght of handicap people because it takes a ton of muscle in your arms
There were a ton of little bumps in the sidewalk and even in buildings that made it a struggle just to roll over those bumps.
